Album **
Aside for Black Blade and The Marshall Plan, there's nothing all
that great on this album. Most songs will probably remind you of other
80's songs.
Black Blade ****
This song was written with the help of Michael Moorcock (author of the
Elric series) and is about the Stormbringer, a sword featured in most of
Moorcock's books.
Monsters * 1/2
This song goes from disco to rap to jazz. A bit of a bizarre song.
Definatly worth hearing once but not much more than that.
Divine Wind *
This slow moody song doesn't have too much to offer.
Deadline * 1/2
Nothing spectacular. It's listenable but that's about it.
The Marshall Plan ***
The story of a kid who wants to be a rock and roll star. Contains a
guest appearance by Don Kirshner (of "Don Kirshner's Rock Concerts") and
the guitar rift from Deep Purple's "Smoke On The Water"
Hungry Boys **
This song sounds like something Devo would do. Definatly not the
typical Blue Oyster Cult song.
Fallen Angel ** 1/2
This one sound's like a Styx song. Now I'm also a big Styx fan so I
liked this song. But I don't think most BOC fans do.
Lips In The Hills ** 1/2
Kinda of an early 80's heavy metal song. It's not too bad.
Unknown Tongue ***
A bit of a sadistic song. But it's got a great beat and I love the
piano.
