Album *** 1/2
Allen Lanier and Albert Bouchard were gone for this album, but that
didn't stop BOC from rocking. This is one of my favorites.
Take Me Away ****
This hard rocking song is about a man who wishes to be abducted by
aliens. There's a CD which has songs inspired BY the X-Files, I think
they should put a CD out of songs that inspired the X-files. I'm sure
this one would make it.
Eyes On Fire ***
Nice rocking tune. Nice harmonics and piano.
Shooting Shark ***
A bit of a mellow jazzy song. Great sax solo in the middle. This is
usually the song that most BOC fans remember off this album.
Veins *** 1/2
A nice haunting yet hard rocking song. The lyrics are slightly on the
odd side.
Shadow Of California ****
One of my favorite songs. There's an awesome guitar solo with an echo
effect.
Feel The Thunder *** 1/2
BOC conitnues their songs about motorcyclists with this song about three
motorcyclists who died on Halloween.
Let Go ** 1/2
Nice beat and all, but it seems more like christian rock with the chorus
of "BOC, You can be whatever you want to be, You've got the power, We've
got the key, Yeah BOC" and the pseudo live audience joining in doesn't
help it very much either.
Dragon Lady ***
Starts off with hard driving guitars and they continue through out the
song. A good job with the vocals on this one.
Light Years Of Love ** 1/2
The only ballad on this album, Pretty good I think. Very melodic. It's
a shame this song get's looked over by a lot of BOC fans.
