I had received a few complaints from people not being able to clearly read the liner notes, so here goes:
Collide, Divide, Shatter... You don't need to think, just feel. Welcome to Mighell. This here is a tape full of songs from me to me to you. Hope you enjoy. I worked on these after a few friends heard my songs and other covers. They obviously liked it. So I went ahead and made a tape. Pretty Nifty, huh? Zero - This is a song by the Smashing Pumpkins. My fave band. Actually, this here whole tape is a tribute to them and to you. My friends. This song is from their mega super double album: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Zero, Galapogos, and Stumbleine are all stolen from Mellon Collie. Galapogos is for my dearest Rosemary, whom I will love until the dearth of our inner demons tear us apart. I don't like the sound on Zero, but I figured it was worth putting in. Quite Withdrawn is from the Gum era. This song made its debut in Gum's one and only Medi Rock show. The intro made its debut on the Firespark sessions of 1995. I since wrote the song. Balcony Girl is my tribute to the Pumpkins. Balcony Girl, get it? It's an acronym for Billy Corgan, the head Pumpkin himself. Wrap was the main inspiration for this tape. I would not have recorded any of this if it weren't for Wrap. My friend Marco's fave song. Anu is a song by Adrian Legg. Few have any idea what this song really means to me. I used to play it day by day for a year and a half. My song for Sarah. She's so lost now. Such a special yet sad song. Misery and Happiness is the last of my songs. I probably have a lot more stuff that could be developed but I'm too lazy and I don't want to bore you. If you notice, all my lyrics are about anything and everything. I just write what is going on inside me at the time. It's funny but the songs don't really have one central theme. Blew- Soft and almost whispered. I love this one. Wrote it in about fifteen minutes reading some old poems. There are two songs that are the same only with altered lyrics. As I said before, I was too lazy to develop them. Guess I don't understand is the English version. Un Sacrificio de mas is the Spanish one. The second ever song that I've written in Spanish. Wrap is also goes under the name Youth Melancholy. Meladori Magpie and Rotten Apples are stolen from the Tonight, Tonight single. Meladori Magpie - such a beautiful song. That one is also for Rosemary. Listen for the dogs barking at the end of the song. Rotten Apples - also a great song. "And love her when your love goes unrequited" Wrap has this one line I really like: "Wrapped up inside the melancholy of being pissed off and young" Cool huh? Stumbleine was the hardest to sing. I couldn't reach the high notes to well. Hope I didn't sound to forced. Pennies is well, for the Mighty V., Tristessa, she knows who she is. "I've got a new girlfriend, she looks a lot like you dear No one could ever do, dear." I managed to spill my heart on Balcony Girl, so if you listen close, I'm showing straight through the song. Spacehog was a huge influence on Blew. I like Spacehog. They Rawk! I would have put "Wedlock" in here, but it was too long. And probably better off alone. So there you have it. My little tape of songs. Listen to the cool effect at the end of Zero, Cool, huh? Okay enough for now. Oh, one more thing: there's that one cool line on Blew. "Smiling through the pain, Trying to ignore the stain." and also the opener to Guess I don't understand: "Wrote this song for all my friends, or at least those who claim to be." "Why bother to be someone free?" Right, Rosemary? So now I bid farewell to all of you. Please be sure to make a copy of this paper before distributing this stuff. Feel free to do so. Thanks for listening and sticking with me. "All I know is that I have no knowledge at all, and my realities become my irrealities".
Peace, Love, Empathy, Good will to you all.
Mighell P. (Sadness)
P.s. Very, mucho Special Thanks to the following. Renata my sis for also encouraging me to make this tape. The guys from Gum, and anyone I may have forgotten, forgive me: I have no more space. C-ya all.
P.S. 2: Pennies was stolen from the "Zero" Single.
