This is what's been going on with me and my demo tapes. This part of the page will be updated frequently, so check back whenever ye wants to.
June 14, '99 - Wow, it's almost been a year since I last updated the news page. My apologies to anyone who requested a tape and didn't get one. I would send them now but unfortunately I lost a lot of addresses in the past year. (I've moved around like three times)
So this means You CAN get a demo tape now!!! So just email me your address at
I finally have more than enough time on my hands to start getting back into making copies again. So go ahead and go crazy emailing me.
As for the new music, I've been writing some stuff and I'm really happy with the outcomes. Unfortunately I don't have any recording means available, so I'm going to look around and see how I can get the new stuff on tape. Until then, hopefully sometime soon I'll make a tape with some of the stuff I recorded a few years back that never got put out. Check back here to see about any details.
September 29, '98 - Well, here I am in Berklee once more. And this time, my college is kicking my ass!!! I apologize to all of you who have requested demo tapes, I will be making dupes sometime soon.
So far, I've been entirely too wrapped up with life and its little idiosyncracies. So the new demo tape will still be a while to come out. I'm also entertaining the idea of forming a band to play my music. This should be interesting...
July 18, '98 - Unfortunately, due to several reasons (one being I was involved in a car accident and now I have to figure out how I have to pay for my damage), I have been forced to stop accepting demo tape requests.
I'm sorry if this makes an inconvenience for everyone, but I was having trouble sending off tapes anyway. I will be resuming this after the summer, around September or so.
I hope nobody is too mad at me {:^) . And those who already requested tapes, your tapes will be sent off this September at the latest!
April 5, '98 - Due to past constraints of time I was about to record a new demo tape but procrastination got the better of me. Unfortunately, I procrastinated too much and now that I finally got the impetus to record the new one, it turns out two main pieces of equipment are somewhat damaged. By the time I fix the equipment, it's very likely that the recording means won't be available anymore.
So a new demo tape won't be in the works for a while. This is perhaps my music's way of telling me that it's not yet time to record another one. A thousand apologies to all those who requested new demo tapes. I'll keep you posted.
January 27, '98 - Well, a brand new year is started... And much work is to be done. So far, a few songs are still in the writing stage and awaiting further touching up. Somehow I have the feeling this semester there will be more time open for such things. This means the new demo tape should be completed soon. New tracks in this demo tape should be (in no particular order): Lull, Scarecrows, Waster, Two Deaths, The Absence of Malice and so far two covers: The Cure's Just Like Heaven and The Smashing Pumpkins' Muzzle.
October 10, '97 Phew... After a long summer break, I came back to Boston armed with a whole new batch of new songs. So a new demo tape is in the works. Sorry for the earlier delays, but now I'm more clearheaded about a lot of stuff... So the new demo tape will represent the Two Deaths of Sadness. This one should be out soon enough. I'll keep you all posted.
May 7, '97 - Work on the new demo tape was completely stalled... Sorry for the inconveniences! So the new demo tape is nowhere near completion and hanging in the air, somewhere... Here's something to look forward to: The new tape will definitely contain the following: A cover of The Cure's Just Like Heaven, A cover of the Pumpkins Muzzle (Which I'm really really proud of, by the way), and new originals: Scarecrows, Go to Sleep and Lull.
As for the demo tape requests: I won't be accepting demo tapes for the moment! I'll be moving from college this Saturday (May 10) so I won't be at my current email account for about four months!! But, if I get bored in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I will put up a new email account... and resume demo tape delivery. Thanks a lot to everyone and sorry for any inconveniences!
April 23, '97 - Although work on the new demo tape is still coming along fine, conflicting schedules with my college and the date of release of the tapes are forcing me to delay the release of this new demo tape. The new stuff will be completed hopefully by later this month... however, since college closes on May 9, it will be hard to keep up with requests... So the new demo tape will be available around September of this year.
March 26, '97 - Work on the new stuff is coming along steadily, which is a good thing. There are a whole new batch of songs, all to be recorded on four track machines (better sound quality), although one track will probably be included which was recovered from the boombox days. This tune is a cover of Mayonaise by The Smashing Pumpkins. Newer songs include Hourglass (working title), a techno/industrial/pop song in the vein of the new Bowie stuff. Let Me Sleep, Leave Well Enough Alone are just a few of the titles that will come out. With all this new stuff it is likely that only a select few will make it onto tape.
March 13, '97 - Thanks to all those people who requested demo tapes over the past month (you've kept me pretty busy... but I thank you anyways) Next week is my Spring Break so I will be taking (a much deserved) Sabbatical. So if you request demo tapes I might not answer your email for a while.
As for the new stuff: This past monday and tuesday have witnessed a marathon recording race. Four new songs have been recorded, including a cover of Just Like Heaven by The Cure. Originals include Scarecrows, Go to Sleep, and Lull. There are more originals I want to do, but they will have to be recorded sometime later. Hopefully by Either June this year or September I will have about an hour's worth of music on tape. This one will then be either sold or sent out for free (opinions on this are welcome!). To you guys in Peru: don't worry, you'll get a sneak peek...
February 7, '97 - I've updated the page a bit, added some stuff here and there. It's still being updated, though. More poems soon (hopefully) to come. As for the music: A link has been broken in the chain that held the Sadness bound to the Rosemary leaves. If you get my double entendres. So I've been writing a whole new batch of songs. Though I don't know when I'll have the time to record them. Hopefully soon. I've been pretty busy with the current demo tapes. If anything comes out, you'll hear it here first!
December 13, '96 - New tapes have been sent out. These different than the original tapes, containing my versions of "Beautiful", "Dancing in the Moonlight", "Jupiter's Lament", and "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness"; as well as new originals like "Claudia is Dead" and "Go Ask June". Lyrics will be posted up promptly.
November 31, '96 - Until now, I hadn't had the chance to write and record stuff, but recent circumstances have made me write about four or five songs in a day. So a new tape is in the works. This one will contain some covers. There's a really wicked version of the Smashing Pumpkins' "Today" that I have in mind. New songs include "Claudia is Dead" and "Go Ask June". Other songs are in the works but as yet have no title. This new tape will be out by next week.
Old news - Some copies of the demo tape contain a spoken poem known as "Damnation". This is a poem of mine recorded so email friends and the like could hear my voice.
- A few more Smashing Pumpkins covers were done for the Listessa Tribute tape. The songs submitted were all the covers found in the original demo tape. A later resubmission contained covers of "Beautiful", "Dancing in the Moonlight", "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", and "Jupiter's Lament". These will hopefully be included in the new demo tape. I also re-recorded some songs originally found on the first demo tape - "Meladori Magpie", "Rotten Apples", and "Stumbleine".
