Popstar Gary Daly of China Crisis has been reported in local and national press to have assaulted their manager who also managers top Liverpool band, SPACE. Gary accepted a caution from the Police. Some "cool" book... Eddie Lundon and "The Light" It seems that a rather mysterious (and talented) individual called Brian Atherton released at least two singles around 1986 under the name "The Light"' entitled "Pride of Winning" and "Contrasting Strangers". I understand from the sleeve notes that Eddie Lundon played guitars on "Pride of Wining". This would make sense as the singles were recorded at Amazon Studios in Liverpool. Indeed I believe that Mr Atherton is from Liverpool. The singles are extremely good and display some of the musical inventiveness that make China Crisis so good.
