Diary Entries for 2003

Update 1/25/2003

Well here we are in 2003 all ready. Time really does fly.. About a week ago I went up to Canada to play in a women's ice hockey tournament. A women from where I live said some of her friends needed players so I went up with my husband and some other women that I play hockey with.. It was a lot of fun and a chance to play in Canada. Also my husband really wanted to go skiing. We were going to go last April.. I didn't have any clothing so I bought quite a bit.. We got ready to go and my husband went to look for his stuff and he discovered that he could not find any of his stuff.. Well I relented and bought all of the equipment to go skiing. (Now mind you, I have not skied in 16 years).. So I go look at skis and boots and bindings. Finally decide on Rosignal skis and Lange boots. So the salesman says."Kristi, you really should take a lesson, the skis have changed so much since you last skied" I said "Ok, I will". So my husband and I go up and take a semi private lesson. We skied a few times, and it was ok. Got sunburned really bad once. Played in a few more hockey tournaments after the trip up to Canada.. Lets see... Once to Tri-Cities WA, Spokane WA, Las Vegas and one more trip to BC. In BC the second time I finally got my first goal at a tournament. Busy year for ice hockey for sure.

Update 12/18/2003

Ok, here goes. Almost  a year of not writing in here. Hey, I am busy and not much time for this. For that I am sorry! For the first time in three years I have decorated for Christmas. I have very little to be thankful for, I am very thankful that I have a roof over my head and food to eat. I have lost some of my friends, I am not sure why, but I do have a good idea. On Nov 7 - 9, I went back to BC to play. We won 1 out of 4 games. Most of the team was from BC as a good many women from here backed out. We still finished 4th overall, I guess not to bad. Then on Dec 6, 7th we played in Seattle and won both games. Again we were short. I just can't figure out what is going on. Ok, the big thing. I bought a motorcycle, a 2004 Yamaha YZ125 motocross bike. I have raced a few times. My first two races I finished 2nd. Not to bad. On my third race I had a horrible start, caught up, crashed and then got up and finished 4th. Although I did not race the second part of the race, so overall got a DNF (Did Not Finish). Can you believe that the year is almost finished again. I can't believe how old I am. And yet, I really do not want to live much these days. Isn't that sad? Oh, I am trying to sell my car, I had to buy a truck to haul the motorcycle around. It is so close to the new year. Look for new entries in here next year. Maybe! Have a great holiday season and a happy new year!
