Chain Reaction in Anaheim

Howdie fello fyp fans, this review is for you guys. i will start off saying this is one of the best shows i have been to in a while. i would also like to say i felt out of place when i drove up to the show there were punx w/ mowhawks, liberty spikes, studed jackets etc. etc. and i was wearing dickies a pennywise shirt, skate shoes and a studed belt now i got some weird looks but oh well.
The first band up was THE JAG OFFS . They were very good fronted by a female singer/rhythm guitarist . They are 1 of 3 recess records / porchcore bands that played that night . Im not at all familiar w/ their songs so i cant say if they played any classics. They were the first band so the crowd wasnt really into them , plus they didnt sound at all like their 7'' other songs i have heard by them, the songs i heard previously to this show were raw typical recess records punk but tonight they kinda sounded rock n roll but i was still stoked on them.
The second band to play were THE GO TO HELLS from Florida...these guys rocked. Just like THE JAG OFFS i was unfamiliar to their songs but the crowd was a little more into them than THE JAG OFFS, i dont see why, these guys were more rock n roll then anything. i will give them this - the guitarist had some pretty rockin solo's and the bassist was pretty good. So over all they were good but should have been the first band to play instead of THE JAG OFFS.
Now here is when the show really got started , the band up now was BERZERK from portland they were also the 2nd recess records band of the night and the second girl fronted band of the night . Not one person in this band is over the age of 21 and the youngest person is mandy at the age of 17. I am very familiar w/ their songs so i could sing along and get into them . What i like about berzerk was their singer joanne spice she is quit a good looking girl , she had some very good comments this night one of them was "i dont care if you know the songs or not i just want you to fuckin scream something and get into the songs" so now you know about BERZERK.
The next band was the co headlining band THE NOBODYS from colorado springs. THE NOBODYS are one of 2 bands i can tolerate from HOPELESS RECORDS they had just released a new album titled "generation xxx." What i like about these guys are that their songs are about jacking off and porno . I would imagine most girls wouldnt like them but to my surprise alot do. THE NOBODYS played classic songs such as "vasiline and a magazine" (my personal favorite) and "all kinds of girls" . now this pit was great and they deserved all the crowd support they got.
Now the last band of the night was F.Y.P. i'm a big fan of F.Y.P and they just rocked is basically how you can sum up their set. I was kinda bummed though do to the fact of the tight security , they wouldnt let anybody on the stage to sing , everybody knows that is one of the best parts of a show. I have so many things to say about F.Y.P but i dont know where to start so i will leave it at this, if you haven't heard or seen F.Y.P go get an album or go to one of their shows it will be worth the money trust me.
