0740 Neil Young Harvest Moon So far, it's been an outstanding bang up fucking day! This is an aside from my normal cynical, sarcastic self...it's been one of those fired up from the moment up kind of days so far...Awaking at 0505, even without the need of the alarm clock, I power dressed in my PTs ;P and went to the gym, did abs until SFC Delong showed up and then we and Keith benched for a while...I just feel so ALIVE for some reason...nothing really different about day. It's a Monday just like thousands of other Mondays where I wake up and go to PT/work/school. At company PT we went running in the rain for a bit before Top (1SG) finally called us back in. There as still ice/snow on the ground all over the place. Oh yeah, my bad, it snowed again Saturday. Let me tell you, fucking *no-one* out here can drive an automobile. Ppl driving around like the roads where all icy and such Saturday night--the snow had stopped and it was just rain, but ppl were doing 30 in 45 zones and such... Grrr...it would have to have been embarassing for those ppl to know a good old californian boy was flying by them... I found out Friday night a good friend of mine got popped the question....couldn't happen to a better person, and that's a fact, no IMO about it...I'm worked up about it really. Good things *do* happen to good people -- eventually if nothing else...I can't wait for the wedding. No matter where I am in the world, it's an event I wouldn't miss for anything or anyone. Hell, I'd be there even if it meant giving up the best PJ or Tori show ever..even I have priorities. :P Went nowhere, did nothing this weekend...although I did order a Primus ticket for a show up in Raleigh...i'm thinking about going to the show the night b4 in Charlotte too ... it's at that tiny little music club MxPx played at...seeing Primus there would blow me away...I ought to tell Smith, he likes Primus and he might want to go with... For the past few weeks, I've had this idea for a story, but I'm not going to say anything. I'm going to let it fester inside for a few more days and see if it really wants out before I start drafting an outline... I ordered Chinese food last night...maybe
it's the MSG
SSG Wade should be in for a bit today--he wanted to brief the COL on a few things. There's this SSG that we discharged for failure to obey lawfull orders by not updating her family care plan (the plans for her family to be looked after whilst deployed)...well she's been a true BITCH about the whole proceeding, a snaky bich at that, trying to play every single side against each oterh, 6-Boss complaint (EO--humiliating dismissed), she appealed the chapter (blown outta the water), and even had a congressional come down on it (wrote her damn congressman to have it looked into -- also blown out of the water)...anyways her final discharge date is today and we know she's still got some six or seven of clubs up her sleeve so Wade wants to be there to make sure the COL has the Ace and just truly trounce the soldier-soon-not-to-be-anymore.. MMMMM, coffee. :) 1813 So, the work day...good thing I was ready for everythign because it was pretty ugly day...PMCS involved scraping snow off canvas covers and proving a vehicle wouldn't start -- FINALLY getting that fault recognized and the necessary parts ordered. That all only took about an hour and a half for a nice change. Post PMCS involved calling heaven
and hell to track down a deceased soldiers will that probably doesn't exist
(is going involve a trip downtown to Cumberland Co. Courthouse.), more
LOD matters--another whoel slew of issues there, a GOMAR to return to JAG
for final disposition by the CG, finally got SGT Baskerville her book back,
prepping a few article 15s, getting the Colonel to sign some matters, fretting
over that *one* SSG
I was So busy, but I was *glad* to be busy. I've got tons of things to keep me busy for the rest of the week to including a packet from JAG I haven't even looked at yet... It's days like today that I realy
really enjoy --busy enough to make the time fly, yet not so hectic as to
cause serious brain hemhoraging
Now it's time for some time. do my damn ruck just in case--it'll only take 15-20 minutes anyways, and then sleep...
