But I have plenty booze--maybe 8 MGD bottles left and a bottle of Dickell.  Leland is gone to Virginia for the weekend--visiting Mormen elders with friends of his or something to that effect. He's been quite the socialite as of late--not once getting hoem before midnight all this week--which is a big part of my not gettign to bed before midnight at any time this past week...there's much more incentive to kill the lights and hit the hay when he's trying to go to sleep...

And thus reference my being awake now...

Yesterday was a rather longish day.  It rained during PT, which consisted of ability group runs--kicked my ass this morning with my lungs and throat trying valiantly, yet vainly, to hack up gobs of goo...I had to stop while my body tried to vomit actually...but didn't.  So i stood up and continued running with the group...

The Jag jump for today was canceled due to inclement weather...I of course, was never informed so I sat waiting for forty five minutes at the manifest point...for nothing.  Had to come back, eat lunch and go straight back to work...no lounging around or napping lunch today.  At least I had enough time to change into civilian clothes--it was civy clothes day...five dollars a head in an effort to raise money for organizational T-shirts (we' were 'em for PT on firdays...) of which I have not one, nor does many other soldiers in the company.

For the record, I don't have much faith in my OIC.  As the battalion ADJ, he is not to straight on getting things in order, and he seems to have a poor habit beign late or everything...I asked him tuesday, mayeb even monday actually, to talk to the LTC about a name for the Summary Court Martial Officer, and that we'd need that name to prefer charges--which we were planning on doing friday...well he of course never even mentioned it...good thing we didn't do it today.  We're wanting to do it Monday, but now, looks like tuesday becasue of this...I told him a Major or senior Captain, and, form the way he asked me about it, I will SO not surprised if it's some fresh captain or first lieutenant.  He lost the paperwork on an article 15 I was doing, which I then had to recreate.  He almost lost an entire chapter packet that B Comapny has been hounding about for weeks.

But you know what?  I'm not sweating it.  I'm covering my ass and running thigns through him like I am supposed.  My work is squared away when it gets to his level, I tell him what I need happen...from there, it he drops the ball...hey, his fuck up and his ass chewing, not mine. I'd rather Lt Standish never left though--he was much cooler and seemingly dependable.  yet we do what we can with the people around us.  He's an officer and i'm just a private, even if I know what's up with legal way over his head...but I'm not trying to be grouchy here so I'll let it go...

Was released early today--which was nice, gave me the opportunity to run a couple errands.  Smith's family had come down from Ohio for Jag week so hsi family, SFC Wade's family, and I all went out to dinner.  It was pretty nice, Smith's family seemd well grounded, and it was obvious they were very proud of him.  We all ended up teasing his younger sister about how they were such nigh and day children growing up...Smith the good one...

After dinner I walked across the street to Coconuts and bought the new PJ single.  Venue and on sale dates for the upcoming tour have been released now...Fucking 10 of the shows I might want to see go on sale the same damn day....should help me save money by not getting tix...I don't have nearly the same amount of faith in getting tix for PJ as I did for tori...but I knwo for a fact I'll at least catch four shows, come hell or high water...just a question of where tix are for charlotte...prolly GA lawn ticket--oh well...VA and NY will be fan club tix so godo seats!  Greensboro will prolly have a GA floor section...

ramble ramble.  i guess i could hit the hay now.  I do feel a little sleepy...

plus the music has stopped and I'm running out of ideas on what to play next...

I've now officially been Airborne for just over one year.  GOD damn but time flies by.
