Since I got back from "vacation", I've had an article 15 for pot (yes, ANOTHER one!) which mandates a chapter action since he has over three years in, another chapter action, and a preferral of charges for adultery who used to be the PAC NCOIC...yeah, that guy i never liked and have problems taking orders from...It would be easier if I coudl leave everything aside and just respect his rank...but even that's hard as he is IMHO a TERRIBLE NCO...So, even as it is my duty to keep impersonal about such issues, I hope this guy fucking fries in a big way.  Too bad it's not going up for a general courts-martial....apprently all the panel members have been adulterist in the past so this guy woudl get off easy probably...Even still I don't understand why we don't go Special Court Martial (straight, with no BCD involved so as to keep it local).

The preferral went of ugly...First of all, my command had been askign me all week when we were going to do it, and all I had from SFC Wade was "this week".  Then it's ready to go and I'm told to see when a kosher time would be for thursday.  So I talk o the Acting Battalion Commander, and the Acting Company Commander about it...I never talked to the First Sergeant because a) I thought the acting commander would do that, as the Cdr and 1SG SHOULD do and b) I wasn't even sure who, at the time, WAS 1SG. Abotu 3/4 of the battalion has been deployed for a couple weeks down to Ft. Polk, LA for a CONOPS.  There is one Major, One MSG, and two SFCs...in the entire battalion.  And the CSM is gone due to emergency leave...so MSG Leech is acting First Sergeant AND Acting Command Sergeant Major...but not really.  SFC Batts is really the acting 1SG...but not really...Bottom line, neither 1SG nor the accused knew anything about this, and my boss, SSG davis, had to call the soldier's cell phone.  Luckily he showed up at only twenty after the appointed time.

I was fuming...especially since SFC Wade was blaming me....adn rightfully so.  I made the wrong assumption, that the acting commander woudl talk with the 1SG.  But I held all this in and SSG Davis actually complimented me on that.

In addition to that i've been transcribing the damnable article 32 hearing that began last month, to reconvene later this month...SGT Phelps is going to Court Reporter school to do this transcribing thing, verbatim...gawd I can't imagine it.  I really can't STAND doing transcription...even on this journal it's a pain.  I got an email just recently from a reader who indicated that the scanned entries (from my personal traveling journal) are hard to read...I've been thinking of transcribing those for a LONG time now...for precisely that reason.  I just don't like doing it too much so I've held off.  Perhaps I'll get that accomplished sometime soon...perhaps not...que sera sera

Apparently Foxtrot Company has some more incidences for article 15s as well.  They just did a 100% urinalysis in light of this recent soldier having come up hot...That could be a very bad thing...

On a positive note...i got my leave approved for next month's PJ shows...14 days in all spread out over two seperate periods.  Wahoo!  so that's all locked down now :)
