That being said, i will continue with this and let the matter rest; no the journal is not dieing, and no I'm not going to continue to go weeks on end between entries--i simply haven't been in the mood.  (great tune that, btw, "In the Mood")

Work is going to be rather hectic methinks for the next week and a half.  SGT Phelps is clearing and subsequently leaving for Germany.  Smith started Air Assault school about four hours ago and will be gone for eleven days, and SFC Wade is on leave following the birth of his boy.  SO, except for an hour or two here and there when SFC Wade comes in, I have the entire Brigade's legal matters to attend to.  Not such great timing to be preferring charges in a SCM...but that is indeed what is slated for tomorrow.  Oh well...it's my time to shine tis all I suppose...easy enough.

Now is the time period where I listen to all my PJ recordings from this recent tour and dream of the days I spent on the road "with" them...no more concerts for me for a long while.  I missed THREE Ani Difranco shows last week, simply because i didn't have a dollar to my name at the time.  I've never seen Ani and would have loved to, but no money is no money.  I finally got my three months backpay and so I'm able to catch myself back up on a couple of bills...still have a few late payments to make at the end of the month with my next check though.  Nonetheless, it's good to have at least a few dollars.  Ben Harper is rolling through in Nov and I'll be able to catch one or two of those at least....that's a  good thing :)

I've shed a few pounds in the last month or two as well.  I was starting to get a little bit of a gut down there but for whatever reason, beginning to eat breakfast more often, more company PT, drinking less beer, whatever..Down to about 145 from 160.  I grew my hair back too--got my first actual haricut in months yesterday.  Looks damn strange to me.

Casablanca finally arrived on DVD.  I'd ordered it about six or seven weeks ago.  It's only about a month late!  Egads.  Great movie though.  I've always loved it so it was worth the wait I suppose.

Been talking with the 'rents quite a bit lately--mom called me at work last week twice, and I called them up last night.  I'd tried calling my sister before calling them, but she was back to work for the first weekend since Caralyn was born...so i chatted with my brother in law Ron for a bit--even got a couple words in with my niece Katrina.  :)

I'm still working, kinda, on the PJ pages.  I'm still having trouble with a few things...like what pictures I can afford to leave off the site!  The amount of stuff I have that I want to use is just mindboggling...and it's hard coming up with an adequate layout.  I may just have to do it like i did the poetry page...but i dunno...that just doesn't seem to fit in with what I had in mind...
now, what i had in mind...ahhhh there is a problem there.  *sigh*
