2055 (Singles) Four for Four on Land Nav today. Hooooaaaah. Seriously though, the course is so easy, with so many points just off of the firebreaks or intersections or other easily identifiable terrain feature -- and the size of the rifle range silhouete targets...how can people bolo? And yet, bolo people did...three people in 2nd platoon didn't get 3 of 4 today. Lost 4 ppl so far -- 1 the first night -- zero day, due to the flu...1 on Exam 1, & 2 on the PT test -- both Ex Marines from Ft Jackson - one was double jointed it seems, and couldn't lock his arms out to get correct repetitions...so both blew of the rest of the APFT -- one falls both fall mentality was their philosophy it seemed... Hopefully our three brethen make it through Sunday -- while the rest of us are on pass for that day...
MxPx Accidentally stumbled through some concentina wire today on the course -- I was so fixed on the tree marking my azimuth at the time -- Never even saw it till I turned back to look -- tore my BDU trousers in a couple places... *sigh* Could have been worse though - could have fallen and put a spike through an eye... Previous Nothing on this date last year |
