You ever notice how whenever you have a short work week due to holidays, five+ days or work ALWAYS gets crammed into those three days you have at the office? Very happy it is saturday. Yesterday the PAC ANCOIC (ok: Personnel Affairs Center Assistant Noncomissioned Office In Charge) told everyone to go home, shit shower shave, and come back a little early instead of doing PT cuz we had to set up for the SRP/POM that day (Soldier Readiness Processing/Preparation for Overseas Movement)...but I planned on going for a run anyway. Then the PAC NCOIC asked me to help him and SPC Taylor set up right then. Lovely. So much for the run. And last night I splurged on ice cream (the shoppette FINALLY had some good ice cream: Pralines and Cream...but they only had it in the huge ass 2QT package...can you say "more-temptation-than-a-dieter-needs". ) Pringles, and honey roasted peanuts instead of dinner. I rented Made and Score to watch since i didn't feel like going out. Both good movies. Yeah I was kind of in the "thief" mood last night. Made me remember my experience in that field, way back before going "straight"... Lord of the Rings is playing out here now but the only US Mil. theatre that had it last night was at a post I haven't been to...so I took a little nap (ref all the damn work=tired mother fucker) instead. Going to see it tonight at a theatre I've at least driven by several times (although still haven't been inside), on Camp Foster. I've been focusing on my budget a lot lately. My trip home to the states, all the plane fare, tickets, Extra tickets, hotels, cars, etc...really put me off track. Put my credit cards off limits except for emergency use and actually planning out what I use my cash for (instead of splurging and makign impulse buys like I normally do). I analyzed all my bills with this excel spread sheet I made up last year--it includes total interest payable over x months and all that jazz...I need to be strict if I want to make it off Okinawa having met my debt free and 10k cash/4k mutual funds goal. Still possible...just have be a bit more conscious of how I spend my money. aight well it's time to go and do that run I missed yesterday. current mood: relaxed
