2046

There is a very wonderful feeling to be derived from holding a big fat stack of twenties in your hand. Just over half a month's pay worth, $1100. Certain difficulties forced me to withdraw the cash from my stateside bank, in a couple of different transactions, to pay for my Schoeps.

Jeesh I remember when I was happy to be pulling half that! Just the idea of having $1100 free like that...gives me shivers.

Anyway tomorrow I get to hand it to my local bank teller and wire it half way around the world for my new micrphones. :)

I was laying in bed earlier this evening...about to take a quick little power nap when a live tori song came on (i hadn't bothered turning real player off). I couldn't *believe* how crisp it was.

Finally I got up to see what show it was from and was shocked to discover it was my own recording of the 10.23.01 show. Hands down my best recording in my five years of taping. This is the show I'm going to compare my new mics to.

(Ok so yeah I'm waxing pretty egotistical tonight I guess....deal).

A few interesting things happened at work today...but still not as hectic as I had envisioned when I woke up. Again I found myself twiddling my thumbs about an hour before "quitting time". Used to be, when that was the case, I'd just get up, tell a couple people I was gone, and go home. Lately I've been sticking it out what with everything as it is...no telling who's going to need what at the last second.

Never went surfing today...the waves weren't worth bothering with.
