EPs by Los Pekenikes

One can say that evrything started at this point. Los Pekenikes began their recordings two years after their first live performances. At that time, Extended Play (EP) records were the most widespread format for recorded music. The EP was a vynil record for 45 rpm, which included four songs.

This record looks like an early delivery of later successful recordings, because it included two instrumentals, Apache y Jinetes en el Cielo ("Riders on the Sky").

All songs were sung in Spanish, as an adaptation mainly from rock'n'roll hits.

The Beatles had already some hits, so that one of their songs was adapted into Spanish.

This record contains the first sung theme with lyrics and music written by group members. I like very much the version of The Beatles' song.

The first big hit in the hit parade came with "Los Cuatro Muleros", Golden Record in 1964. The group performed an updated arrangement of a popular Spanish song.
