Just stopping to check in and I see some Rob Liefeld bashing. Me, always being the kind to speak my mind (at least on the board)... well, I just had to join in on the fun.
Where to begin...
This guy is such a moron. I mean have you ever seen pictures of this guy? Just looking at that goofy smiling face and the ever present ball cap that just sits on his head makes me want to deck him.
I see Liefeld as generic. His art is third rate McFarlane (another winner. Don't get me started on him), his writing isn't worthy of the Mighty Heroes, and his charactors? Forget it. I mean the Fighting American is just recycled ideas from his failed Agent: America Cap knock off. Kirby's Fighting American was his 'back up plan' in case Marvel got pissed about him ripping off Cap. So they sued, and we have Fighting American. Well woop de FUCKING do.
TO be fair, I kind of liked what he did with Cap. I also sort of liked Battlestar Galactica. But even these can't make up for what a lame ass he is. It bugs me to see someone like this in the spot light and seeing a book like Reid Fleming remain unknown. Okay, bad example but you get my point.
Ditching Alan Moore? What a retarded moron. And keeping Jada Pinkett's story? This would be okay if he kept Alan Moore. This just somehow doesn't add up.
Guy who did Watchmen ditched for the girl who gets knifed at the begining of Scream 2....
I'm sorry but I hate Rob Liefeld. And seeing a Fighting American figure and NOT a really bitchin' Captin America figure (although the sparky shield one is okay, WITHOUT the sparky shield).
Keeping Re: Gex (Christ, I hate that title) and ditching Supreme. Bad move. He's digging his own grave. I thought Awesome at least kind of had a chance but with his bad decisions he's gonna put the place under. Not that I give a fuck. Oh well.
And in closing I'd like to say....Lynch Liefeld!
Thank you good people and GOOD NIGHT!
