When Vic goes to a cement plant to investigate reports of terrorist dealings he finds the owner being roughed up by terrorists. He intervenes as the Question to save the man only to be stabbed in the back by him. He follows a lead to the man's father, Ian Angus McVey, founder the company. McVey Jr. sends his attackers to kill his father for fouling up an arms deal. The terrorist's son, Junior, goes ahead to kill the man in the hope of winning his father's affection. He goes so far as to scar his own face to win his father's love. When the boy meets his intended victim he finds himself befriended by him. When his father attacks he defends McVey accidentally killing his own father in a gunfight.
