My Gig List

This is a list of every Metal gig I can remember going to since the first one in 1991. The list includes all the bands that played at the gig (some minor support acts are omitted), along with the date (as close as I can recall) and the venue. Band names that are in bold indicate a band that I was specifically there to see. Band names in italics indicate bands that I watched but wasn't primarily there to see (i.e. I watched them from the edge of the crowd/on a video screen). Bands in plain text just happened to be there, but I didn't watch them as such...

Now here's some (possibly) interesting facts and figures regarding the gigs:

The band I've seen the most times is Entombed whom I've seen six times. Five of those times were in one year! (1997)
I've been at gigs featuring The Wildhearts on three occasions, but have never actually stood in the crowd to see the band. Ironic really, as they became one of my favourite bands since!
The gigs headlined by Parricide on the 6th Feb and 31st May were the New Blood festivals which I organised myself! I also set up the 3D House of Beef gig on 29th October.
One gig that isn't listed featured Paradise Lost, Cathedral and Anathema and took place in November 1995. The reason it's not listed is that I met the bands for interviews earlier in the day, then got screwed over by the promoters, who wouldn't let me in. Bastards!
Other bands I've met at their gigs are Fear Factory, The Almighty, Warrior Soul, Machine Head, Napalm Death, Coal Chamber, Entombed, Stuck Mojo, Type O Negative, Strapping Young Lad, Pist.On, 3D House of Beef, Scarabaeus, Neurosis, W.A.S.P., Dearly Beheaded, Misery Loves Co., Soulfly and all the New Blood bands.
Three bands I wished I'd payed more attention to at the time are Nine Inch Nails, Iron Maiden and Cubanate. At the time I couldn't care less about them, but now they're among my favourite bands! Typical... :(
I've obtained several souvenirs at gigs I've been to, including a Pantera guitar pick, half a Budweiser can from The Almighty's Ricky Warwick, setlist sheets from Carcass and The Almighty, and most bizarrely a faceful of water spat by Metallica's James Hetfield! (I didn't keep that though)
