Beth's Review of the 9-4-99 Houston Show |
|||||||||
I went to the Goos concert in Houston... might I just add that it was the best night of my life. THey have been my all time favorite band since the first time I heard Iris!!! Well, at the concert by best friend and I arrived super early because we got stuck woth lawn-seats and wanted to get as possibly close as we could. On the way through the gates we heard this lady asked us if we had any extra tickets we said we were sorry but we didn't. She then said shw had private session passes and you can't get in unless you have tickets. Then the phrase Ill never forget..."Would yall like the passes"!!! Oh my gosh I almost had a heart attack...for anyone who doesnt live in Houston and doesnt know what private session passes are they are givin out by a radio station in houston. Private Session is where the band does a private concert for about 30 people with the passes that lasts about half an hour. Then you get to meet them and hang out and take pics with them. Out table was so close to the band while they were performing that I could have reached my arm out and be touching Johnny!!! To top it all off Johnny was running a little late so he didn't have much time to dry off after his shower so he just walked out on the little stage with his hair dripping wet and this little white tank top and cargo pants...HE LOOKED GORGEOUS!!! Well, after his private concert he took pictures with us and hung out. When it was all over he said goodbye to me since we was shaking everyones hand he held his hand out to shake mine and to my complete amazement he pulled me closer and gave me a huge hug!!! WOW...Ive never felt that good in my life. Anyways, the real concert started it it was GREAT too. His voice, as always, sounded beautiful and his lyrics are even more touching in person. |
