Great Band's Of The 70's
Bands I Grew Up With (My Rock Era)
I am putting together a page of pic's and text of bands I grew up
with in the 70's and 80's. Take your time and stroll down memory
lane or in alot of cases say "Who The Hell Are These Bands Anyways!"
(depending on your age of coarse)
Mott The Hoople
One of my favorite tunes that Mott did was "All The Young Dudes"
The lead singers name was /is Ian Hunter
KISS
When KISS broke onto the scene and I first took notice was
during their Hotter Then Hell album (wax).
David Bowie
At the time Bowie had the strangest stage show
I can remember. His "Spiders from Mars" tour was out of this world!!!
Rod Stewert
ROD is one of my all time fav single performers. To my memory, Rod first broke on the music scene with Jeff Beck. The group at the time was "The Yardbirds". Later , Rod and Ronnie Wood (Yardbirds bassist) left the yardbirds
and formed the band "Small Faces" which later was changed to simply
"The Faces". In 1977 the band broke up once again and Rod ventured out on his own. "The rest is history!"
Aerosmith
Aerosmith is one of the great bands that seems to change (yet stay the same) and grab
hold of every generation that comes apon them. Steve Tyler and the boys just keep on a rolling!
QUEEN
One of the great tunes Freddie will always be remembered for will
of coarse be
" We are the Champions "
The Rolling Stones
"The Rolling Stones"
need I say more?
Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper was the ultimate in his era. He was concidered by most a shock rocker. However, his following is still going strong. Alice was your classic rocker , songs such as Schools out became a schools anthem!
