Caramel Eyes
You tease me, you tempt me, you touch me,
My body awakens to these things,
Your caramel eyes stare back at me,
Watching me, watching you,
I feel concern when you're in pain,
Pleasure when you smile,
Laughter when you tease,
You're not like anyone else I know,
And I know quite a few people,
How unique you are in your brashness,
You reflect many of the things I uphold,
Living your own life, don't give a damn,
If people don't like you, you don't care,
I have slowly moved into that frame mind already,
Openly bi-sexual I have encountered no backlash,
Even from some homophobic friends,
I'd like to think I have changed how they think,
That just because you like one sex, or the other, or both,
Doesn't mean you're a bad person, or one to be avoided,
I like your sense of humor, it makes me laugh,
I admire your athleticism,
Even though I don't understand hockey,
I'd like you to teach me,
Help me understand the sport,
And god forbid it, even like it,
I enjoy watching you play,
I would like to play with you,
Though the game wouldn't be hockey.
