Hartwood is celebrating it's 9th Birthday and invites the populace from far and wide to come and re-joice and celebrate!

Site Fee - $8:00 for weekend - $5:00 for the day - children 13 and under are free

Site Directions: Nanaimo Boy Scout Camp at Brannen Lake. Follow the Island Highway through Nanaimo to the north end. At the Jinglepot/Mostar (exit 24) intersection turn left- if northbound; if southbound, turn right. A short drive to Briggs Rd. and turn right, follow the signs to the camp on the left hand side.

Site Info. - This is a discreetly damp site. Smoking is restricted to the Bardic Firepit. Friday the site will be open at 4:00 p.m. for set up and impromptu bardic.

T - Z, Desserts

Schedule: Saturday will start with armor inspection at 10:00 am for the Lady's tourney and the Open War Point Tourney. Lady's first. This will be by double elimination. Fighters take note: to keep the war point award, any fighter winning the rounds must also enter in one of the other Points contests. Winning the second point is not needed to keep the war point. This battle will determine our next Hartwood's Champion! (oooh ..aaahh... you get a nifty dangly thingey and tickets to events with a place at head table for all the next year! and, because we are so nice to you - we expect you to be here and defend us in times of duress and War!!) Last year's Champion, Kieron will be here to defend his tittle. After the Tourney (at 1:00 p.m.) a fighters choice free for all, (fighting scene of the fighters choice). The site has good grounds for bush battles, bear pit or what have you.

Saturday at 1:00 p.m. entries for the arts and Sciences will be accepted. Entries can be either individual or team efforts. (Sense of humour is key for one of the judges!) As incentive to enter often, Hartwood will be honouring anyone winning more than one Point with a very special gift (Oooh....aaahh....oooh!) First A&S Point will be for an item crafted in wood Second A&S Point will be for an item crafted in metal Third A&S Point will be a bardic entry. to be judged directly after a pot-luck feast. Saturday at about 5 p.m. - pot luck supper Site Closed Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
