The Forgotten Pedistal #1
Singular beauty
so fragile and pure
she stands on a pedistal
above all the rest
alone and lonely
as if one touch
can break her
into a million pieces
no one dares to love her
so still, she stands alone
some have tried to brave the heights
only to get brought down
by fearful passerbys
so still she stands
alone and untouched
on a pedistal made of glass
years pass yet she stands
alone and untouched
bones of the people
who tried to climb but fall
to their deaths
litter the ground before her
yet still she stands
unmoved, untouched, unloved
throughout eternity
she lives there
no food no drink
no sleep no words
not even one wrinkle
aligns her face
but slowly, slowly
the pedistal grows dull
her white robe grows dirty
her eyes red rimmed
but still forever, alone.
