Sailing on the Perfect Tack Called Love which is dedicated to Paul Armstrong who died April 9th, 1996.

The sun shines brightly on the sea, and is reflected in the smiles that are sent from me,

You once smiled back and warmed the world, and like a slow filling mainsail my love for you unfurrled,

Our fingers brushed, our eyes collided, and towards friendship the tiller was guided,

You never kissed me nor have I kissed you, but until then I wonder if this love is true,

It could be a crush from a girl to a guy, but all that I know, is that a heart never lies,

I've begged and I've pleaded, to let you see, that we can make it work, just you and me,

Friends we are and always will be, but I'm so tired of wanting to flee,

Everytime I try to talk, to you on the phone, I get a weight in my stomach, the size of a stone,

Your hair when it's windblown just looks so sweet, that to it my hands just itch to meet,

Your lips are so succulent, oh god what a find, I just want to kiss them and make them mine,

Your body is strong, and as true as can be, I'm afraid I look dowdy when compaired to thee,

Your eyes hold such zest, such love of life, and never ever hold even an inkling of strife,

Your voice is so deep and strong to the ears, just that beautiful sound wipes away all my fears,

You've installed such confidence in this little soul, and in your stocking you'll get anything but coal,

I guess you've secured a place in my heart, and from that specialness I never want to part,

You laugh and you tease me as you rant and rave, is there any memories of us that you've decided to save?

You've talked about me and I've talked about you, but your heart-spoken messages, will they get through?

I've waited and waited to say this to you, and you'll never know, but what good will that do?

I guess we'll just have to wait, for us two to see, and watch for what the future will bring to thee.
