A Tribute To Nirvana
Here is all the info about the new Nirvana tribute album that no one seems to know about.
- record company: Tribute Records
- cover art: Cover has a dolphin swimming in the water from "Nevermind".
- Here is a list of the bands, the songs, and my reviews:
- 1. Territorial Pissings by Mother of Mary. Good version, good vocals but the guitar is slightly wrong.
- 2. Come As You Are by Hayze. Good version, female vocalist but the guitar is wrong here too.
- 3. In Bloom by NME Within. Great version, almost exactily the same as Nirvana's version.
- 4. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Calcutta Anazamama. Rap does NOT go with heavy metal. enough said, almost 100% different than Nirvana's version. The words aren't even that much the same!!!
- 5. Heart-Shaped Box by Melanie's Breast. Good version. Different approach, with bass intro.
- 6. Pennyroyal Tea by The Luckey Seven. Wonderful!!!, one of the best covers on this album.
- 7. Make You Unhappy (really Verse Chorus Verse) by T.U.l.P. Why they changed the name, i have no idea. Good version. Bass intro.
- 8. Rape Me by Flow. By far the best song on here. The vocals and guitar were perfect and who ever did the backing vocals at the end souned EXACTLY like Dave Grohl.
- 9. Drain You by Zircus. Hmmm...this is kind of like metal but with country style Eddie Vedder singing. It is an ok version though.
- 10. Molly's Lips by Beau Regards. Done using the music and lyrics from the Vaselines' version. Still a cool song.
- 11. Negative Creep by Lilla Prinsen. No Comment except "AHHHH!!!!!". you're going to have to hear this one for yourself.
- 12. Floyd The Barber by Wated Youth. Also one of the best songs on here.
- 13. Breed by Kikyo. Another one of the greats.
