I would like to mention a few other entertainers
that have gained my attention. Due to my age I became aware of Frank Sinatra at a very early age and I love his music from the time he started till now. He`s been an
entertainer for over 60 years-imagine!? And what a great one he has been.

As I go on, I will try to name my favs as I recall
hearing them.

Elvis Presley who hasn`t heard of him? I was eleven and I wasn`t sure what to think. I liked his ballads, but the fast stuff, well that was another story. his death was tragic.

Neil Diamond - I was in my twenties. Some of his music really moved me. Some made me want to dance. I still love those songs today.

Rod Stewart- I was in my late twenties, early thirties and my son reported a lot to me about him- so I
never listened. Then one day on the radio I heard this song. I called the station to inquire about it. I was given a little background on where this song came from and why. I started watching one of those video channels and got a chance to see him in action. I was
sold. I do have a lot of his older stuff, but I have lots of new stuff too. He`s great.

Now, Kris Kristofferson became one of my heros because of"A Star is Born". If you have not seen it,
rent it, it is worth it. It was one of my first movie vidios to be purchased. I do love to hear him sing. He is unique and even my dad liked him. One of my favorites is "Silver Tongued Devil".

Of course, who has not heard of Michael Jackson? Either from the "Jackson Five", his "Thriller" or
"Heal The World", "You Are Not Alone", his now defunct famous marrage or his son and expected child. He is an extremely talented fellow and I guess I`m probably naive about him. I choose to
believe the best. I also like "She`s Out Of My Life" released after the divorce. Great song but sad.

Not all of my favorites are men. In 1972 I saw "Lady Sings The Blues". This was my introduction to R & B and jazz, which if you don`t already know, Michael sings a lot of and well. A friend of mine told me that I should listen to the real Billie Holliday. I did, and now I own several CDs of her original recordings from way back, as I do of Frank Sinatra`s

Now to country. I was not brought up as a "Boot Kicker". My daddy brought me up on opera and classical music and as far as music goes these two are mountains above the rest. But I was going to
talk about country. Is there anyone out there who has not seen "Hee Haw"? Buck Owens and Roy Clark. From there I discovered Randy Travis all on my own. Truly I was shocked as much I enjoyed him.
Our son thinks George Strait hung the moon. I really love to watch his face when he`s singing
and he is very very good. He`s so humble, still now, I thought his movie "Pure Country" was great.

In 1989 Garth Brooks came to our home town and performed at our annual livestock rodeo. Here our son was instrumental again, he bought tickets; we went and after his appearance, it seemed that every song became a number one hit. I have all his albums and he`s yet to sing a song I dislike. My True Love
and son purchased the Target Special Album set in CD format.
My True Love and I went to see him several years later. What a performer and showman he is- he`s my number one country singer!!
Neal McCoy also performed at our home town rodeo. He has not experenced the same fame as Garth, but that does not mean he isn`t wounderful. I just love
him and think he`s as cute as he can be and by gosh he can really sing. Don`t know why others can`t see it. I also own all of his albums. Some folks should listen to him and they would see he is one of the best.
