Ahh as this week ahead is St Paddy's Week its only fitting that many songs on the chart are experiencing quite a bit of the Luck O' The Irish as they are cashing in a some big debuts. Of course none of these acts are actually Irish (I don't think anyway) unless perhaps by nationality but they are lucky nonetheless with nice big debuts on the chart. We have a total of 12 DEBUTS!!!! and all are bona fide new songs The mixture of acts is quite diverse from Jazz crooner Kurt Elling to Indie darlings Tegan & Sara. From Folky Rock songbird Petra Haden to So-Cal Punk icons Social Distortion its quite a mix. Topping all the debuts is the long awaited return by the one and only Garbage and judging by the buzz that's forming in the group over Shirley and company's upcoming album this song looks to pick up momentum in the coming weeks and is probably destined for #1! As for this week Maynard James Keenan and his little band managed to withstand the onslaught of debuts to stay at #1 for a second week. So cut a piece of Irish Soda Bread and raise a cup of St Paddy's cheer and take a peek at this week's chart!
