Another week, another very interesting Top 10 Countdown !
Just like last week we have only four songs remaining on the chart
from the previous week.
Out of the rest of the songs 3 are spanking new debuts
and 3 are making returns to the chart after slipping.
All three are returning in rather interesting ways
Vanessa Paradis' "Ma Petroleuse" returns to th chart
at the number 6 position which is the exact same spot she
was at 2 weeks ago when she debuted and fell off the
following week.
Likewise The Cure's "Until The End Of The World" returns
to the chart at the number 2 position which is the spot it
occupied 2 weeks ago also. This is also the 3rd separate time that
The Cure charted with this song.
The oddest return of all is of The Riplets whose "Hey Mickey" fell
off way back in April but returns to reclaim some chart glory
this week. On top of all this last week's number 1 by
Linkin Park sails on off the entire chart to be
replaced by a new #1 courtesy of Las Vegas based New Wave
combo The Killers. Before we start let's say farewell to
