Masters Of Rock , Pop & Beyond Top 10 Countdown

Week of 9-12-2004

September can be a fierce month of competition for the
TV networks as they peddle out their new shows with each of the major
networks fighting it out amongst eachother. So it seems appropriate that
a chart filled with fierce competition should pop out just as the new shows
unfold. Indeed there were quite a few songs vying for the top this week
as they all recieved strong votes from various members. 5 songs managed to
score more than 10 points so it was a case of The Killers, A Perfect Circle,
Metric, Rufus Wainwright & Bjork all duking it out for the top slot. In the end a song that's certainly no stranger to the top spot The Killers "Somebody Told Me" emerged the winner completely unsatisfied with
the 5 weeks it already spent at the top and trouncing Metric out of the top
for another stay. We also have 3 debuts and 1 return to charts which of course
means we say bye bye to 4 songs. Here they are
Morrissey- The First Of The Gang To Die 1wk pk 9
Vanessa Paradis- Ma Petroleuse 6wks pk 4
Todd Snider- Incarcerated 3wks pk 6
Frou Frou- Holding Out For A Hero 1wk pk 5
