The Greatest Love
I'm all alone in a world of people who hate me,
I'm different in a bad way.
I've been given a gift I don't deserve,
If I accept this gift, my whole life will change,
My life would be harder at points,
But I would have something to lean on.
If I accept this gift,
I may go through trials,
But I would have someone to cover back.
This gift was given by a man who called himself Jesus.
He died on a cross,
In pain worse than you can imagine,
Even forsaken by his own Father,
And he did it for the love of you and me.
If you accept this gift,
He'll walk with you your whole life.
He won't leave you to fend for yourself,
But carry you through the grief and pain.
He's the Son of God,
And the Son of Man.
He saved me from Hell,
So I call him Savior.
He gives the best advice possible,
So I call him Wonderful Counselor.
He's the Son of God,
So I call him Jesus Christ.
Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace,
Messiah, King of Kings,
Yahweh, or the Holy One.
Whatever you call him,
His true name is Love.
And this is not just a casual nickname,
That I made up.
It's because of what he did.
Died on the cross, with a spear in his side,
Nails through his hand, He helped me in bad times.
This is the story of Jesus my Savior,
What he's done in my life,
And what he can do in your's.
And he did it all for one reason,
His Love for you and me.
