The La's Album

Released in March 1991

It won critical acclaim and got good sales figures even though Lee Mavers described it as "Shit, it's the worst, I hate it!". Supposedly recorded at least 4 times and still Lee wasn't ready to release it, it took from 1987 until 1991 to record and while if it wouldn't of been rush released by Go! Discs god knows how long Lee would of kept it back. I've heard he's still been working on it and he might of already re-recorded it.

While the elusive La's second album is still very hush hush, it might of been recorded by now too, I expect Lee was going to put a few of the John Power sung songs on the second album, but now that is impossible. I can't wait until Lee releases these two CD's.

If you see any La's singles buy them up NOW! They are very rare and can gain in price quickly. I bought 12" Way Out for 12 UK pounds and a week later I found out it was 45 pounds!
