Here's a quote from the back of this CD :
"Tracks 1-7 were intended for release by Reprise Records during the mid 1970's, but this project was cancelled."
Okay, lets pick this apart :
Track 2 isn't Jimi at all, but a guitarist by the name of David Henderson! This song sounds nothing like Jimi!!
Track 7 is by the band Love, Jimi's involvement is doubtful.
A couple others are outtakes from released albums! Hardly a project I could see Reprise attempting to put out.
Lets continue with the quote...
"Marvel at the quality of the performances as you delight in the phenominal phidelity! Truly an experience unlike any other!"
This is true, listening to a 70 minute CD that has an extremely annoying metallic noise throughout it truly is an experience unlike any other. My ears were hurting after 20 minutes of it myself. There are some good performances on this, don't get me wrong.
But after a while, that noise makes it feel like someone is opening your skull with a dental drill. And another thing, it's spelled fidelity.
I was gonna review the tracks that are actually on this, but it's too hard to listen to the CD to give a decent review of the material present.
Skip this one, unless your parents have gotten so used to your Judas Priest and Slayer albums that they don't care how loud you play them anymore. This one will drive them up the wall in no time.
