Most Hendrix fans are familiar with the original release of the album Crash Landing. The first release when Alan Douglas took over control of the Hendrix musical archives was, to put it bluntly, shit. Douglas wiped tracks by the original musicians, replacing them with hired studio help. And the follow-up, Midnight Lightning, was worse, if that could be possible.
I could rant for paragraphs about this, but this isn't the page for that. See my review on Crash Landing though :) This CD, is comprised of tapes of the originals that Douglas used in his release. Obviously rough, as Jimi had many many songs on the go, and few completed at the time of his death.
But even in these unfinished forms, they have more feeling than anything put out by AD.
Some of these are just instrumental backing tracks, some with only guide vocals. But they make for an interesting glimpse into the creative process, and recording process of Jimi's music. Not for a casual listener or fan, but for the Hendrix fanatic and collector, they are indispensable. So which are you?

This track was actually a unreleased mix from the Alan "The Butcher of Decency" Douglas' hack & slash Crash Landing sessions and has been removed, exorcized, crucified, and burned, along with Alan Douglas in effigy, so the rest would fit on a 74 minute CD-R disc.
