Adliya...

I dont know how this phenomenon actually started... People who ain't familiar with the whole Adliya deal go there and see traffic jams, lots of guys and girls driving around in circles, on a road that only has 2 lanes and is hardly even 200 meters long....All very ironic... So what gives?

Well, how it actually started is unknown to me, and when you think about it in essence it really is very silly but hey, we love to do it! =P
Why?
Well i'll try to explain that... Adliya is like a meeting place for people of around our age...You can go there and almost always find a few of your friends around (especially at peak times)...
The place has a lot of resteraunts, and so people are always decide to go there to get a bite... Fuddruckers is also there, which can get very busy around dinner time...

Whenever someone wants to show off his new car, he would bring it over to Adliya, because it's known to be usually packed... So people also hang around and check out the nice cars... Almost like a car show...
There are a few coffee shops in and around the area... Like Idea Gallery, The Veranda, and the recently opened Casa Blu, and these are quite popular in this country...
People in Bahrain love to cruize around, and the almost constant traffic jams makes it ideal for "cruizing" at 10km/hr...

But I guess what most people love about it is it's livelines... The lights, the music pumping out of people's cars, the people standing on the streets shouting and dancing (yeah ok not dancing)...and talking... The sudden turn of heads everytime a Ferrari or something equally interesting passes by... Just a busy area in the small quiet country of Bahrain...

Bukwara is basically the Riffa version of adliya... Similar idea, more wackos driving around though... Check it out yourself..

Ok I guess I just earned my self a drive, im goin for a cruize in Adliya... $ee ya
