We have lots of Races in Bahrain... But usually the most popular and the ones that happen most often are the illegal ones... These usually start off with two people sitting in a coffee shop or somewhere talking about cars... Then the situation would switch to their cars, which one is faster etc etc... It would turn into an argument and then they decide to meet at a certain time in a certain place that day to settle it out one on one...

Phones would ring, people will talk, word spreads out faaast... And an hour or two the venue were the race was decided to be would be packed with people... (This is almost always along the Highway leading to Saudi)... People making bets, people shouting, people arguing... And then it would start....

The two guys line up, a judge car would launch infront of them by about 10 seconds to judge who would win the race...

And theyre off!!! Perfect launch, tires squeal and burn and they move...50km... 100km.. 150km... and then the race is over...

Official races do happen as well, but they are usually only organized during winter... There are drags, autocross and rallies sometimes... And when they happen the venue is usually packed! I'll post up dates here for when they next start...
