Back To Nowhere

COLUMNS

Chris - Sunday 30th April 2000 - 2:35pm

I haven't really written anything for a while because there hasn't really been that much to say. I've been to a couple of blinding gigs though, not least of which was the Blocko extravaganza on the Isle of Wight. It's quite unusual to see gigs on the Island so it was a bit of a treat really and a good time was had by all. I certainly did judging by my thumping headache for most of Sunday.

Got back from Mates' house last night and logged on to find a message from 'Phillis' in the guestbook which said "Do you not go to many gigs then?". Now during the daytime that message doesn't sound so bad but after all the beers I had yesterday it really fucking annoyed me at 2am. Is that all the comments you can be bothered to put? Well fuck you. Maybe I need to chill out a bit but if that's all you're going to put then don't bother at all - if you really care about the lack of content then send something in yourself. Most things (if they're legible) will be printed. Pub / venue / record / gig reviews, rants etc etc. Anything at all. I don't care. Send it in to btn@backtonowhere.com (that's Nick's) or straight to me at csmall@yoyo.org

Still no word on who the special guests are going to be for Deconstruction but the favourites for me at the moment are Green Day. In other news, Dogpiss might be reforming without Dickie Hammond this time although I don't know if the bloke who said it was just joking or not (probably). Fatty Jones are also meant to be looking for a second guitarist. I think they should look for a new singer at the same time (preferably me ;) Goober Patrol also might be doing a few of the Snuff dates in May. Who knows how true that is though. They hardly ever seem to play over here anymore.

Finally, Leatherface have been confirmed for the Garage on Friday 7th July - woohoo!!!!!
