Wow! If you were there you won’t forget this one in a hurry! Six goals, three sendings off And a saved penalty. Yeading took the lead on 12mins when Bromley, playing 3-5-2, were opened up at the back and Miller fired home. For a few minutes The Ravens looked in real danger of being over run, but Gibson drew us level on 20mins, when we broke out of defence and he was put thru on his own to blast the ball past Hodson. It was pretty even up to 42mins when Miller again got free in the box and put Yeading back in front. Just before half time Myatt went off injured and so to did Watts, who was taken out by a despicable waist high challenge from Hawksworth who was only booked. Teenagers Cain and Stewart came on as subs. Bromley equalised again on 55mins, when Cain crossed for Forbes to power a header into the roof of the net. The game really began to liven up and BFC gained a man advantage on 66mins when Saroya was sent off for pushing Gibson in the face after already fouling him! On 72mins we made it in front for the first time, Gibson latching on to Stewart’s blocked shot and driving the ball into the net for 2-3. Sadly the lead lasted only 5mins, Edwards looped a header over Harwood to finish off a fast break. Ten minutes later ex-Bromley player Telemaque broke free and rounded Harwood only to be brought down by Forbes. The Linesman gave the penalty and the Ref sent Deano off. Tucker’s penalty was blocked by Harwood and he ballooned the rebound out of the ground. The scoring was finished at 3-3, but the drama was not over! On 87mins Cain was taken out at the knees by Tilbury, after the ball had already gone out of play! The Ref immediately produced the red card, but it didn’t stop a brawl involving all the outfield players and the two men already sent off, who came out of the Dressing Rooms to join in! Once order was restored Bromley failed to make their 10-9 advantage count as Yeading soaked up the aerial attack and the game finished with one more scuffle for good measure.
I’m sorry if I have any of the Yeading players names wrong, but they did not announce the teams. Quote for the game. ‘They’ll regret missing this!’
