A piss poor half an hour in the second half saw us fall to our local rivals again.
As with the Thame and Ayelsbury games once we had conceded the whole team fell to pieces and were given the run around by a good side.
The first half saw Tooting have more possession, but Bromley cut out the better chances, most notably a header from Manuel and when Grant Watts chipped Webb, with the ball just clipping the bar and landing on the top of the net. The second half started evenly but just after the hour following Lazic going off injured, Tooting moved into another gear and Bromley were left standing. Rootes fired home their first from the edge of the box past Windegaard and 3 mins later Forbes headed the second un-marked from a corner. Then followed a period of total domination before Onochie sent the third flying in from distance. Windegaard made a couple of fine saves but failed to come off his line all game and also had very dodgy handling under pressure. On 82 mins Bromley were awarded the softest penalty of the season when Manuel fell into O’Brien and Grant Watts stepped up to score a hollow consolation goal. The game tailed off as did the Bromley fans out of the gate wondering how on earth McIntyre thinks this team could be promoted.
