BROMLEY 1 BOGNOR REGIS TOWN 1 – LEAGUE – 27/10/01

A really good battling display against the un-beaten league leaders. Carl Bartley made his second debut for the club and led the line with the strength and commitment we’ve lacked since his departure. Also making his first start for the Ravens was Drevitt at the back who also had a steady game. We deservedly took the lead on 12mins when Bartley flicked on to Jjunju who placed his shot under the keeper and into the corner of the net. We should have made our dominance of possession count for more, but only went in at the break 1-0 up. Bognor came back into the game in the second half and went close several times before they eventually equalised on the hour. Russell connected first to a fiercely driven cross and deflected the ball into the roof of the net. The Rocks went on to hit the bar twice and Wilfort went close for Bromley, but the game was to end 1-1 and things were looking much more positive on the pitch for BFC.

Quote for the game, ‘At last a big Striker!’
