General Songsharking Scams

Yep, we're pissing a lot of people off...especially this guy from "Demos Masters." We've removed his email address and phone number from this correspondence because we feel so bad for him.

Take a look at the first letter we got on 7/14/99.

Later that day, we received a second letter accusing us of "liable" [sic] and claiming that we were trying to "stir up business for the other businesses" for sites connected to IndieRing.

Two months later, another letter arrived from the "Legal Department." Strangely enough, they also accused us of "liable" [sic].

Since we do not mention "Demos Masters" any where on this site, we decided it was time to reply.

This guy apparently didn't share our view. He cited issues with Trademark violation and replied with more threats of legal action and comments about a registered letter that was sent earlier which we never received.

As it turned out, the registered letter mentioned was sent to the owner of a site that links us. Can people really be this confused?

Here was the missing piece we needed to put everything together.

It didn't end there though! Take a look at this message from the recipient of the registered letter about a phone call he got from Demos Masters!
