Blind Man In The Dark
By Mark Sherrick

I look back on Halloween
And I see a few different things
I see the innocence of childhood
Running around your and other
Neighborhoods dressed up in
Cheap plastic costumes
Begging for candy
Being allowed to stay
out late at night, and be
with your friends for a few
more precious hours before
going to bed and seing them the
next day
The thing I remember most
is staggering around blindly in
the dark, as there werent too
many costumes that enabled
me to wear my glasses.
