Bored by Mark Sherrick The teacher stands in front of the class, teaching the days lessons, to the students seated in front of him. At the beginning, attention is paid, but as the teacher teaches on, teaching something, or maybe nothing, but words flow out his mouth, into our ears, and out the other side. The class goes on, and one by one, the students stop listening, until all are oblivious to the lessons. Some sleep, some do other work, some write letters, or read a book, others stare into space, and some write poems, yet the teacher keeps teaching his lessons. Some wonder if he knows we are not paying attention, but is still teaching anyways, to teach us a new lesson, but not from chapter 12, or last week’s chapter 11, or next weeks chapter 8, its not even from three week ago’s chapter 1. Its a lesson we will learn next time he gives us a test, and we see what’s on it, and have to hand him a blank piece of paper, at the end of the class.
