Nick Carter reaches triumph at his shows in Mexico - March 03

Although officially the Backstreet Boys band has not broken up - although they have begun legal actions against their record company one of its members - Nick Carter has begun a solo effort with much success, for which he already has a promotional tour at various cities in the U.S. and Latin America.

Mexico was not the exception, and on Thursday and Friday nights the singer offered 2 shows in the Metropolitan Theatre, where he received the support that his fans offered him in our country, now in a new setting completely alien/different from that he had a part of the Backstreet Boys.

Hundreds of youths, the majority from 12 to 18 years of age, came to this site on the outskirts of the Central zone to reach the achievement of their dreams, although in doing so they were easy prey for the vendors prowling the area selling their products which were, in the case of tickets and bootleg CD's, were selling for double the regular price.

Much later, now in their designated seating areas - which were filled to maximum capacity - those present began a battle of signs and cheers among groups of fans, to decide who loved Nick the most (according to their chants), moments before the concert began, which ended a little after 11PM.

At 9:02PM after the third announcement, the lights abruptly went out, to the surprise and - why not? - histeria of the fans, who immediately stood up to greet the Backstreet Boy.

Dressed informally in cargo pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes, Nick Carter took the stage acccompanied by his guitar and 5 musicians to backup his loud vocals (?) performing "Girls in the USA", the first of 18 songs that he performed from his repertoire, which is also included in the material from his first solo CD.
