*Born: Hulme, Manchester - 1961.
*Started out with band called 'Nosebleeds' (With an 18-yr-old Morrisy on Vocals!)
*Gave Johnny Marr (of the Smiths) his first guitar lesson!
*In 1979, he joined the semi-legendary 'Slaughter & the Dogs' - cutting a single under the name 'Studio Sweethearts'.
*Later joined Pretenders-influenced band 'Lonesome No More'.
*Then joined Kirk Brandon's apocalyptic post-punk rocabilly 'Theatre of Hate'.
* At the end of 1982, he was kicked out of T.O.H. and got himself a job at the Kensington market branch of the trendy boutique 'Johnsons'.
*Had plans with 'U.K. Decay' singer, Abbo, and collaberated a song - an early version of "Brothers Grimm".
*At the time, he lived in Cold Harbour Mansions, (hang-out for most of the London-based post-punk bands) where Ian Lindsay's brother met up with him. Ian showed up a week later with a bag of clothes, wanting to form a band. They started 'Death Cult', later known as 'THE CULT'.
*CULT breaks up, and Billy joins some other group (I can't remember the name).
*He quickly leaves that group, and concentrates on producing, as well as being a guitar for hire.
*Formed Coloursound with Mike Peters.
*Back with the Cult now.
