Well, this isn't the biggest part of the web-site, but I think it's cool. It shows all the movies and compilations and whatever else they did, or someone else did with their music. So HERE WE GO!
MOVIES SOUNDTRACKS!
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER ---- ZAP CITY
They play the song in the part where the guy is on the vampire's van roof driving through the forest, or something. It's kind of unnoticeable. I have a picture of Sarah Michelle Geller on my celieng.
WITH HONORS --- SHE SELLS SANCTUARY
Sanctuary is the opening song of the movie, 'cause some guy asks for "crushing music" before the school goes in for a major test. Neat! Too bad the movie was a pile of steaming crap.
SMALL SOLDIERS --- LOVE REMOVAL MACHINE (Re-Mix)
It's barley noticable in this one. Played quietly in the background of a toy factory. The Re-Mix is kind of crazy.
FREE ENTERPRISE --- SHE SELLS SANCTUARY(Extended)
This 'superb' flick is about some trekies who meet William Shatner and find out he is nothing like Captain Kirk. Nice fucken idea. It features other bands like Duran Duran, Sarah McLachlan and William Shatner. With Cap'n Kirk on there, it has to be grade-A!
COOL WORLD --- THE WITCH
I had no idea. Thanks to Deepe R. who told me about this one. Even us geniuses need help once in a while. This soundtrack came out in 1992 so it actually was the first release of The Witch to the WORLD! COOL!!!
BASKETBALL DIARIES --- STAR
The Cult with Leonardo DiCaprio. I never seen this flick and don't plan to. I hear it's about how drugs destroy you. That's right--more propoganda.
C.D. COMPILATIONS!
Much Music's Made in the '80s --- She Sells Sanctuary
Sanctuary should always make the '80s compilations, it's just too classic. It was the first song on the C.D. NICE!
MTV's 1st 100 YEARS OF ROCK --- FIRE WOMAN
1st 100 years of rock and Fire Woman is the first song on this album. That's the way it should always be.
Party Hard 2000 --- She Sells Sanctuary
There's no better way to bring in the new millenium than with songs from the 80s. This comp also has Billy Idol, Blondie, Duran Duran and much much more.
GOTH: THE ESSENTIAL COLLECTION --- RAIN
What a wicked album! Rain is the seventh song in one of the better compilations I've heard in a long time. Hmmm...I feel a need to leave the house suddenly.
GOTHIC ROCK 3 --- SPIRITWALKER
Early Cult and gothic go hand in hand. If there is a comp called Gothic something, you can bet the Cult will be on there.
POST-PUNK CHRONICLES --- RESSURECTION JOE
This is a 3 CD box set and the Cult made it on the CD called 'Scared to Dance'(nice name). Yet another Gothic comp with the Cult. Who knew? MEEE!!!!!!
GOTHIC SANCTUARY --- SHE SELLS SANCTUARY
Gee....I wonder which Cult song would be on this album. Hmmmmmmm......maybe Electric Ocean? Or Painted on my Heart?
Steve Austin's STONE COLD METAL (WWF) --- RAIN
What can I say? I had no idea the Rattle-snake was a Cult fan. This album has music that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin personally listens to. It also has Kiss, Scorpions and crap like that. If you don't know, Steve Austin is a pro-wrestler from the WWF. Although, he did start out in WCW; I bet you didn't know that! I bet you don't care either! Whoo-haa!
The Ongoing History of Music: New Music vol.2 --- RAIN
I don't know what the crap this album is about, but it sounds like a compliment. It also features the Ramones, the Cure and stuff like that. I might have screwed up on the title a bit 'cause I only seen the album breifly one time and maybe mostly because of the state I was in. Who knew?. Whatever.
METAL MAYHEM --- WILDFLOWER
The Cult is the second song on this CD which also features Twisted Sister, Judas Priest, Nazareth, Quiet Riot, Motorhead and many many more!
LEGENDARY HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD SONGS --- SUN KING
(2001) Well, OF COURSE the Cult is Legandary. 'bout time someone recognized it. Second song on this comp with Blue Oyster Cult and some other dudes but I like totally forgot.
FROSH 80s --- SHE SELLS SANCTUARY
YET ANOTHER eighties with the Cult on the first track. This is getting old. It also includes such classic bands like Men Without Hats, Yellow, Cyindi Lauper, Tears for Fears, Dexy's Midnight Runners, AND MORE!
TELEVISION!
Labbatt Genuine Draft featured TWO (yes,2) Cult tunes. The first time I heard SHE SELLS SANCTUARY was on one of these commercials, and I was so inspired, I hit the bottle harder than Ian Asbury! Beauty. The other one featured BE FREE, and it was kind of sad 'cause the boys broke up before that commercial aired
which led me to drink more than Ian and Bon Scott (AC/DC) combined. What a year.
Well, yea the Cult were on de Beavis and Butt-head fun time, and yes, the two numb-nuts loved every second of it. Let's see, they showed FIRE WOMAN and LIL'DEVIL. With B praising God above. SAY IT WITH ME NOW, CHILDREN; "YES! YES! THE CULT ROCKS!" "YEA! UH HHMMMM MMHMMH!" Classic.
There is a new Nissan commercial that has 'She Sells Sanctuary' on it. It's the Nissan Sentra and I think I'm gonna buy the car 'cause of the hypnotic music in the background.
