Hollywood sure seems to love these guys...not only have tracks appeared in the movies, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Hard Rain, but this fall the movies Prince of Egypt and Jack Frost will feature JOC songs. Prince of Egypt will have a new track from them entitled, "Everything in Between" and Jack Frost will use "Five Candles"
October:
Jars are featured on the new WOW 1999 cd and video that has just been released...the song featured on the cd is "Crazy Times"
A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to Charlie this month! He turns twenty-five on the 21.
Would you like to see Jars of Clay AND dc Talk together in concert at the Billy Graham Crusade on October 24? Yes, I would too, but for those of you who can't be there in person(like me) can watch it LIVE with RealPlayer at the Billy Graham website at 7 p.m. eastern time.
I've heard that there is going to be a Mediterranean cruise with Jars sometime next August. Fan club members are supposed to get a big discount on the cost.

I got the latest issue of the Sound And Spirit club magazine the other day, and there's a pic of the Jar boys with their Dove Award. (it's different from the one on the Award Pics page) I'll see if I can get it scanned in later...
Rumour has it that the fan club won't be starting till October. (instead of August like we were hoping for!) Oh well. Patience is a virtue.
JOC's next album is due out sometime next year!
Steve is featured on Erin O'Donnell's new album, "Scratching the Surface" (If I'm not mistaken, he plays guitar or does background vocals on it)
July:
The new "Propska One" cd will have "Fade to Grey" on it, as well as other songs from Third Day, Plankeye, Plumb, MxPx, and lots more...(available August 25)
Dan and Steve both produced the new Honey album entitled, "Lost In You" which is coming out August 24.
June:
The Jars of Clay official fan club will be starting in July or early August! As a member, you will be able to receive the much anticipated live cd entitled, "String Town"
Be sure to check out the debut album by Mancy A'lan Kane. Dan, Steve, Matt, and Charlie all contributed to this album, so it oughta be good! (Mancy's the one that did the background vocals on "World's Apart")
How'd you like to see Jars of Clay and dc Talk together in concert? Well, if it works out in Canada, we should be seeing a US tour in the fall.
Scott Savage, (JOC's touring drummer) got married on Saturday, June 13! Congratulations Scott!

Be sure to pick up your copy of the Jars of Clay collector's edition of "Hinds Feet on High Places" at your local Christian bookstore. It's written by Hannah Hurnard, and it contains a foreward by Matt, an interview with the guys, and a Bible study for the song "Much Afraid". I highly recommend this book!
The new "Exodus" cd containing a never-before-released Jars of Clay song is finally out now! The song is called "Needful Hands" and the cd has got some other excellent tunes by Christian artists such as: dc Talk, Michael W. Smith, Cindy Morgan, and a whole lot more...
