REVIEW BY : SARAH of Planet Boyzone 2000

Fully Booked, Scotland, 2nd Aug

9:33am Boyzone appear on stage.  They were dressed all in black with Ronan, Shane and Keith in ankle length black coats and Steve and Mikey in normal black jackets. They chatted with    presenters Gail  Porter, Tim Vincent and Chris Jarvis for a moment before disappearing.

9:58am They then came on to sing 'Picture of You'-live!  They sounded quite bad, but at least they had the guts to sing live. It was only Ro who actually sang, with the others going 'um'.
Steo's  voice did seem to come though towards the end. Considering he  was singing on his own, Ro was brilliant-he keptthe whole song  going all the way through.  At the end they sang
nicely without  backing.

10:38amCame back on to answer questions.  They said they thought Glasgow was the best venue to play and Party in the Park was thebest  gig.  By now Shane had taken his coat off and now was wearing a sleeveless black top. They said they would be releasing a Greatest Hits album in March-could this spell the nd of BZ?!?

11:30amSteve and Keet appeared back to discuss Disc Drive with Tim Vincent and to pick a winner for a competition.

11:43amAll the Boyz arrive back on to play 'The End of the Show Show'. Ronan, Keith and Shane were on Gail's team, while Steo, Mikey and Hinda Hicks(who is a confirmed support for the Sept/Oct tour) were on Tim's team.  Everyone kept booing Tim's team (I take it was because Ro was on the other team!).  Gail's team won the 1st round by 10 points, Tim's tim won the 2nd round by 20 points and Tim's team won in the end by 60 points!

11:50amBoyz ran over to mini-stage to sing 'No Matter What'. Standing  order(L-R), Mikey, Shane, Steo, Ro, Keet.  They were singing  live.  They were very good, much better than when they sang  'Picture Of You'.  Steve was especially good.  Ro improved   towards the end.  Steo was incredible all the waythrough!  Again  at the end they sang without backing.

Later on in the day, I congratulated Steve on his excellent performance and I asked him if he'd be singing the lead more, he said: "You never know, I'd like to sing lead vocals more".
