Posers

What's up with the latest craze with calling people "poseurs" anyways? You like the spice girls? you must be a poser. *Gasp*, you like Bush?, you must be a poser. No Doubt?, they are SO old. Marylin Manson's on mtv, thats why you like him. Poseur, poseur, poseur,Fucking poseur. I was quoting some pennywise lyrics to a friend on a chat line, and some "punk" calls me a poser. I ask him, why? he says:because you were talking about nine inch nails awhile ago.

Tell me, who's the poser? The guy who's not scared to like his own styles of music, or the guy who tries to pick people up on how im not like him, or just likes punk or "punk" music and wants to be more "punk", "just like that guy in green day who started a craze and has died hair", oops, sorry, green day are poseurs even though their style has never changed. True punk comes from inside, not whether your on mtv or whether you like the spice girls or if you werent always into punk, its a choice made by an individual who wants to do something worthwhile and not be led around on a rope all her/his life.

The words poser or loser should not be used if we ever want to get anywhere in this world. We have to get along and accept people for who they are, not the piddly things like "that new spice girls song that that punk poseur said he liked" or "he is a loser". Ask yourself, why is he a loser? Because i dont like him? Because my "cool" friends dont like him? Be who you wanna be and do what is good for you, everyone else wont be there in ten years, you will be, if you dont die or something...
