fanclub co-head tiffany has announced that "mike [previously from juliana hatfield's band]" will be filling the role of the bass position in weezer!
**confirmed** mike's last name is "welsh" who formerly worked w/ juliana hatfield. he did *not* play the rivers solo shows (as we mentioned *unconfirmed*).
from what we've heard mikey is supposed to be a pretty swell bass player! Both Welsh and drummer Todd Philips also spent time playing with Boston's Chevy Heston.
