For two historical nights this spring-- March 28th and 29th, 1999-- Chicago saw its hottest moments since the Great Chicago Fire. I was there to see Chris take the stage in front of a screaming, dancing, foot-stomping crowd on Saturday. Chris was in top form, and he played a blissfully long, unforgettable set.
The weekend was topped off by another spectacular show on Sunday, with a slightly mellower, still-appreciative crowd for a more intimate show. So, from nuclear to softly spectacular, Chris gave Chicago inhabitants and lucky visitors like me a rare treat.
Steve Polacek was there to record some of these monumental moments, in chic and arty black and white, and was kind enough to share 'em! Take a peak.
Perhaps you'd like to e-mail Steve with your compliments!
